About the Image(s)
It was taken at Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire which are huge white chalk cliffs that are teaming with seabirds nesting at this time of year. I was trying to get shots of birds landing or taking off. This gannet was landing with nesting material which seems to have confused the chick who thinks it is food. Taken at 1/1250 sec, f5.6, ISO 500. I cropped the picture and saturated the sea a little to bring out the blue.

A gannet flying back to its nest with a mouth full of nesting material, and a waiting gannet with its mouth open. What a perfect shot! What else can I say? You nailed it!   Posted: 05/02/2025 15:19:52
What a great shot with a wonderful nature story. The color of the sea is spot on and the whites are handled well. Your focus on the main subjects is perfect. You might consider cropping up from the bottom to eliminate the partial bird at the bottom as it is not interacting with the other three. Awesome job!   Posted: 05/05/2025 15:51:30
