About the Image(s)
This is an abstract image that I entered and was accepted in a local abstract competition. It's actually a picture of a beaded, glass ashtray shot up close with a Helios 44-2 58mm lens made in the USSR in the late 1970's. The unusual bokeh is achieved by reversing the front lens element. The lens was mounted on a Nikon Zf camera using adapters. I processed the image in Lightroom and Photoshop to bring out the colors.

Love your photography experiments lately! So creative. You have wonderful colors, bokeh and the symmetrical composition is very pleasing.   Posted: 05/05/2025 15:42:19
Thanks, Cindy. I wasn't sure I liked this image, but my wife did and encouraged me to submit it to the abstract photo exhibit.   Posted: 05/05/2025 16:06:58
Let us know how you do in the competition. I bet you will do well with this image.   Posted: 05/06/2025 13:26:20
very interesting one, composition, light, ok, but fuzzy (not sharp focus) quite away from the normal photography presentation. Not sure what I can contribute to add value to this, let me stew it a bit.   Posted: 05/11/2025 22:07:29
