Another Orchid photo from the MO Botanical garden Orchid show. I used Topaz AI for sharpening the subject and darkening the background. It does a really nice job (usually) of isolating the subject and background. I liked the contrast of the bright subject and dark green background. I wanted the flowers to be soft yet have details. Settings: f/5.6, 1/20, 42 mm focal length, ISO 100 and hand held.

Another wonderful and well-processed orchid image! Your darkening the highlights and lighter leaves makes the purple orchids stand out beautifully from the rich green leaves. Posted: 05/01/2025 11:29:30
