About the Image(s)
It was taken in London on a day when the Thames was quite choppy and the weather was windy. I used a 10 stop neutral density filter to lengthen the exposure, to smooth out the water and get some movement in the clouds. The shot was taken at 30 seconds, f18 and ISO 64. In post processing I lightened the shadows and brightened the water to increase the reflections of the buildings.

I like how you captured the Shard and its surrounding modern buildings. Smoothing out the water creates a nice foreground for the buildings. The smoothness of the water together with the slightly blurred clouds above, sandwiches the modern architecture in between.   Posted: 02/03/2025 00:55:08
Your post processing added nice details in the buildings. I like the long exposure effect you achieved in the water and sky. Overall, a very nice image. I suggest two small tweaks - the Shard seems to be leaning slightly to the left and there is a partial building on the left that can be cropped out.   Posted: 02/05/2025 15:58:32
Thanks Cindy. I put this image into a club competition and the judge agreed with you about the crop. The Shard is an odd building and I agree that it may look as if it is leaning in my image but the central "pillar" (so to speak) is actually vertical and the other "pillars" right and left do give the impression that the building is leaning.   Posted: 02/06/2025 19:04:11
good frame of the shard,
compare the original and final, I set that post process make sense, and well balance.
However, I suspect there're some overblown area in the image, might deserve to take another look, see if adjust down highlight might help recover some details.   Posted: 02/06/2025 18:11:47
