About the Image(s)

The Titanic that sank on its maiden voyage in 1912 was built in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and this is the building in Belfast that houses an exhibition of the events that night. We were there on a rather dull day. I have removed some distractions and carried out sectional adjustments to add a bit of punch to the image. Taken at 1/200 sec, f8, ISO 200.

You captured a dramatic angle of the building to resemble an ocean liner between icebergs coming directly at you. Maybe that's what the architect intended, and you nailed it. Making the image B&W might make it even more dramatic. I would also try darkening the sky and adding more contrast to the building. I gave it a try. Maybe something like this?   Posted: 01/02/2025 13:49:27

That's a strong capture! agree with David about B&W rendition, could be an even stronger image.   Posted: 01/03/2025 17:52:20

You eliminated several distractions in your final rendition, making it a stronger image. I like the details and centered composition. I agree with doing it in monochrome. Nice way to document the building and the event. Good focus.   Posted: 01/04/2025 17:20:50
