This is a beautiful area in Eminence, MO. We arrived at sunrise to photograph and the golden reflection on the water made this shot special for me. Settings: f/22, 1/25, ISO 6400 (didn't need this high because I was using a tripod - it was set on automatic), -0.7 step exposure compensation and 18 mm focal length. I had to reduce the noise several times!

You have created an attractive image from a rather flat original and the cropping out of the sky is good and has concentrated the eye on the rocks and the building. Was the water really as orange as shown in the final image? Posted: 01/02/2025 13:32:14
Such a beautiful rustic scene! I agree that cropping out the sky was a good idea, and you created a lovely composition. The color seems a bit off though. For a sunrise, I would expect a more orange-ish hue rather than the brownish-yellow color. I tried fixing it, but because the file is a jpeg, I couldn't change the tint properly. If you still have the raw file, you might try adjusting the color or else convert the image to black and white. :-) Posted: 01/02/2025 14:01:54
Nice capture! Nice crop to position building, the rocks as main. With that thought, I feel the water on the left, might be just a tag bright/strong to take away the main focus. I'd suggest a minor adjustment to that area.
