We were on a cruise on the River Danube from Budapest to Bucharest. One of the shore trips was to the town of Kovacica in Serbia where there is a tradition of Pop Art artists and also there is this man who makes violins. He gave us a demonstration of part of the process of making a violin and then played to us. The image was taken at 1/20 sec, f4, ISO 1000. In post processing I desaturated the background a little and darkened the floor and wall.

This is a wonderful image that tells a story. Good decision to darken the floor. I wonder if cropping the floor and man's legs would focus more attention on the violins though. Posted: 12/03/2024 01:15:05
This is a great photo. I like it very much and your processing changes work well. Darkening the floor and desaturating the background really maks your subject stand out. I like that he is in the workshop as I think the context of this background adds to the story. I like the full body of the man. Nice job! I wouldn't change a thing. Posted: 12/03/2024 02:50:26
