Shapowei is the origin of Xiamen Port. The wind shelter is one of the iconic landscapes of Shapowei. It used to be a place where fishing boats berthed. Nowadays, although the fishing function has gradually faded, the buildings of the wind shelter still remain, and the calm atmosphere The surrounding buildings and boats are reflected on the water, creating a unique water town style.
The Xiamen Twin Towers in the background, the Xiamen Shimao Strait Tower, are shaped like sails: the two independent towers are connected by a podium and look like beautiful sails, implying that Xiamen, a coastal city, is nourished by marine culture and can ride the wind and waves and move forward bravely.
I used my mobile phone to shoot the scenic spots without any post-processing.

The colors of the twin tower are really quite striking against the dark sky. Your composition and clarity are quite good. I am a stickler for true verticals and couldn't resist adjusting the skew on this.   Posted: 11/03/2024 19:44:53

I like the juxtaposition of the modern, highly-lit skyscrapers with old boats below as well as the surrounding buildings with various architecture. It's quite a mix! My suggestion would be to de-haze the image as the towers have a slight misty cast about them.   Posted: 11/04/2024 13:26:02

well done, a modern and old buildings, perfect constructs. Even shot with cell phone, still have the dynamic ranges and details, love it.   Posted: 11/12/2024 14:47:42

The buildings stand out well from the dark sky and the colours in the buildings and reflections are very attractive. I like Cindy's version with the verticals corrected.   Posted: 11/12/2024 16:13:36
