About the Image(s)
Camera: Nikon 810
Lens: 24-70 mm
Camera Settings: 1.0 sec at F 2.8, ISO 800
This image was taken in a textile factory that had been vacant for some time.
I noticed the cart with a seat because it looked well used.
Edits: The image was cropped. I also toned down the background and blurred it somewhat.

I just love old abandoned buildings and their contents. Your focus is excellent and you have nice details on the broken cart. I wonder if a closer shot and/or different angle would make this a stronger image. The bright streak of light across the top of the frame is, unfortunately, distracting for me. It brings my eye up and out of the frame, away from your main subject.   Posted: 11/03/2024 19:55:13

I like this crop and vignette very much.   Posted: 11/05/2024 16:01:31

like the revision, from David, it makes the differences.
I might even darken the seat's background some more, since the color tone of the seat really close to the background.

The broken cart is sharp and well photographed to be the subject of the image. For me the background spoils it and if you like playing around in Photoshop (or other software) this is probably a candidate for being cut out and put into another background. I like David's offering but it does change the image substantially and takes away most of the main subject which is what I think appealed to you. I tried converting it to black and white but it didn't really improve it so a different background would be my choice.   Posted: 11/12/2024 16:37:28
