About the Image(s)
The one I have enclosed is Bitch Creek farm, located in Eastern Idaho. On a clear day you would see the Tetons from an Idaho perspective at this location. It was taken in September, 2013, using my Nikon D600 camera with my new Nikkor 24-120 f/4 ED VR. I was hand holding so on this cloudy day I used an ISO 1000, focal speeds of 200-400-800/a second using f/8. I felt the lighting was just right for this image as it provided some good saturation. I did little preparing the image and straighten out a couple of trees and did other adjustments.

a pretty scene and nice visual flow. The buildings are small but provide the anchor we so often look for. The blend looks good to me. Maybe a touch of a tip based on the horizon and tree line in the distance?   Posted: 07/15/2024 20:54:49

Good detail and color and well done usage of HDR. The horizon appears to slant up very slightly to the right.   Posted: 07/16/2024 21:25:26

I like how the river takes my eyes into the background. Your overall process looks good. I'm a big proponent of darkening the edges of my images. I think this one would benefit from it. The trick is to be subtle enough that you can't see it.   Posted: 07/17/2024 17:36:58

Very peaceful scene, just wondering what it looks like on a clear day. I think I will park my camper at that spot for a couple of weeks to find out... I think Lisa's suggestion did tone down the river especially on the right.   Posted: 07/24/2024 17:16:00
