February 2025 - Utah Statehouse Hall

About the Image(s)

Made during the last Salt Lake City Conference (Festival) using a Canon 1DX MK II and 16-35 lens at 16mm, F16, iso 200 with an odd bracket of base 1/2 sec, under at 1/8 and 1/16 and over at 1 and 2 sec. Processed in DxO Prue Raw with blend in Aurora 2019 using no preset. The only adjustments were to straighten the verticals and add a little illumination on the far stairway.

Lots to look at and the details are very nice. The blend looks very smooth and natural with some nice lighting. I like the 2 lights up front and they are well controlled along with the chandelier. The other lights that are blown out, do not bother me. The one thing that is a little odd is the varying color temps throughout, ceiling, main marble area, on the sides and underneath, the rear dome and room.   Posted: 02/18/2025 17:38:11

Nice image Rick. What I like most about these posts in the category is learning what other software is out there for me to explore. I've never heard of Aurora, but will search it out.   Posted: 02/19/2025 15:39:18

Another great interior that is beautifully designed, great composition, sharp, colors outstanding and winning image in interior photography. The lighting is perfect. I am unable to find any detail to recommend improvement. An advanced use of your work on this is pleasing to see.   Posted: 02/21/2025 04:25:08
