This was shot during our cruise back in March that stopped in Germany. This was inside a pretty cool room with challenging lighting as you can see. This is a 4 shot blend shot at ISO 3200, f5.6 and 1/15th that was merged in bulk with Photomatix. After opening the DNG in LR, adjusted the verticals, cropped to square and adjusted the lighting to fluorescent which helped with yellow cast. In PS, removed a fire extinguisher (?), fixed the reflection on the floor. Then tried to remove the blue on the shinny walls with Color Efex with a polarizer. Used LR to remove the coat hangers which were bothering me and this was pretty impressive. The reason this image caught my eye was looking through the door, is that real or artwork? I think it might be artwork based on the originals the position of the people.

An interesting shot with good detail throughout. Your work improved the image considerably but I would also remove the items on the floor beside the back door as well as some scrap of some type in front of them.   Posted: 01/14/2025 16:09:23

I am not going to do any more with this image, I thought it was interesting to see what the light room replacement left in its place. A bit of artifacts.   Posted: 01/14/2025 21:14:20

Interesting view. Whether the distant scene is real or artwork, the idea of having the viewer look through an opening to something beyond is a classic (old world) means of creating a sense of depth in a 2 dimensional work. It just goes to show that technique is still very effective today. The blend looks good and the lighting comes across to me as clean, so nice job in dealing with the fluorescents. Your clean up works well, though the odd elements the fill decided to leave where the coat rack was are a bit mystifying. Not the first time I have run across that type of result.   Posted: 01/16/2025 00:15:34
