January 2025 - The White Dove

About the Image(s)

This image was photographed last September during the PSA Conference in Tucson, AZ. This was the first time I have been able to photograph this magnificent structure without some scaffolding somewhere in the scene.

This was photographed with my Olympus OM1 MKII set up for three exposures of +2, -2 and 0. It was processed in Photoshop HDR Pro. I corrected some perspective distortion and added a subtle edge vignette plus the 3 pixel stroke.

Well done Bill. But the tallest part of the structure on the left slants very slightly to the right, needs a little bit more perspective distortion there. Did you get another image of this part of the structure from a straight on perspective, this looks interesting but you cannot see much from this angle.   Posted: 01/14/2025 16:43:11

Having been there (though long ago), I found this a very nicely handled view of the White Dove of The Desert. The processing looks solid and the blend and tones smooth. Since we aren't at the end of the world, I'm assuming the cat is still chasing the mouse on the arch at the top of the door.   Posted: 01/16/2025 00:34:41
