January 2025 - The Door

About the Image(s)

25 image vertorama (5 sets of 5 exposures, composed horizontally and moved up and up and up. Probably could have done it in 4 sets as I see I had a lot more overlap than needed, but the time constraint was hard

Stitched and tone mapped in one step using ACR

electrical piece removed from left side of door using healing brush

Wow, that's a lot of images that went into this piece, you must have been after a really great amount of detail. I would also remove the doorbell button on the right side. I'm also not sure about the green color, certainly this is unusual for a structure like this one.   Posted: 01/14/2025 10:12:49

The blend and stitching are very smooth. The lighting makes sense to me if this was an interior view, but the doorbell casts that into question. Was this one a porch with enough of an overhang that the lighting was always on the flat side? The green works for me on the walls and roof, but I am inclined to side with Don on it feeling a little too much on the door. Something you were trying for as an effect or just really that close to being covered in mildew?   Posted: 01/15/2025 18:22:03

I have never seen such a beautiful light-green color. Taking that many images must have taken a lot of work to make this different as the aging, interest, and well done. I noticed a slight leaning of the woodwork making the door. It may be natural with the work someone did a long time ago.   Posted: 01/23/2025 21:46:31

My first reaction, wow, that's a lot of green and wonder why. Everything is very smooth and you would no idea this a HDR image. The vertorama keeps the perspective and view accurate which is very nice. I think it might have been cool if the door was closer to white.   Posted: 01/26/2025 08:37:04
