Interesting. The blend looks smooth for tonal values. I'm not up on false color in infrared, but it seems a little inconsistent. The chair makes sense, but after that I'm not wrapping my brain around why some of the foliage is white (which I would expect) and some seems to have an orangeish tinge. Just due to differing colors in the foliage itself? I did find the orange ?? in the upper right to keep tugging at my eye.   Posted: 11/17/2024 00:44:14

Hi Rick. I had the Nikon IR conversion called super color. The term Super Color refers to Infrared at 590nm. Most near Infrared photography is shot from the range of 400-900 nm. At 590nm (Super Color) you will get an image that has four color tones, Red, Yellow, Blue & Cyan. At the other end of the spectrum you get hard whites and blacks. Once you have captured the image in Super Color, you have many options in adjusting the tonality and color of various sections. I could have gone an entirely different direction with this but eye appeal kept me in the neutral color zone. The orange at the top is actually blue sky. To be 100% candid, I have been experimenting with HDR and IR with mixed results. In many ways, a properly exposed single image has often looked better than the HDR. Thanks for the comment.   Posted: 11/18/2024 15:07:01

Very interesting tones throughout the image which give it a painted look. This is certainly not a natural blend, but more artistic in nature. The chair is well placed and helps the overall photo. Not sure where HDR is any advantage here unless there are extreme shadows and highlights. I would crop the piece of sky.   Posted: 11/18/2024 17:46:15

Brad, I'm not certain either. My entire photographic journey is centered around the question, I wonder what would happen if... I enjoy taking techniques and trying to widen the range on how they're applied. I can sum it up with, well, it was worth a shot. lol Thanks for the comments.   Posted: 11/18/2024 17:50:32
