Cute, Cute. I think you caught the pup whose personaality is captured. The D.O.F and Focus is good . I initially thought the blue was a backdrop only and the Red tongue against the blue top seem to contrast well. This is unusual because the are close to COMPLEMENTARY. After looking longer, I did find the blue top and arm distracting. That may just be me because it does add to the story of how friendly he is. Marc, another beautiful portrait! I was wondering about what kind of available light there was. It is such a good image without shadows. Judging from his eyes I would guess the light is from a window.   Posted: 08/07/2026 20:22:55
Harley, my wife is holding the puppy. She is holding him on our covered patio. The patio faces East and the photo was taken late afternoon. Very soft and nice light.   Posted: 08/08/2026 01:26:34
Biscuit is super cute and has a personality which you have very nicely shown. I think it would be a stronger image if you replaced the background or the other option would be to blur it so it was unrecognizable, since your intent was" All about Biscuit."(not your wife and Biscuit.) Cute addition to the family, Mark. You'll have a lot of fun with your new friend. At 1/80 with a panting puppy, I'm guessing I'm seeing a little motion blur in his face. You caught a nice expression on the face. A little more contrast in the image and a different background might make this a more artistic image. I bet he gives you lots to photograph in the coming days!   Posted: 08/14/2026 12:59:03
Too cute Mark. Great pose of the puppy, I love the tongue ed up. I am good with the background as is, the blue of your wife's dress is a nice background color and you have such a extreme close up of Biscuit that we hardly notice the backdrop. This is a good family photo and thanks for sharing.

I love this little guy. I agree with the other comments - seems to be some discussion about the background. I love the blue but the skin tones compete a bit. I'd make the background way blurrier. Or replace completely with another background, complimentary to the colors of the sweet dog.   Posted: 08/22/2026 16:54:14
