About the Image(s)

This April image was in a "Ghost Ghost town "Custer". Near the Idaho Sawtooth Wilderness area. They had a few homes and put furniture and objects like this bottle Window. I did a lot of work on taking off the tags for each bottle - and made the edges look good. Many adjustments had to be made like lighting, doing some slight sharpening, and contrast. I used my tripod.

Max, I love these type photos! Exposure is very good! The window frame/panels and the sill are a nice touch and they frame and complement the image. I am wondering why you removed the labels? Were they a distraction? I think the background is competing with the bottles. I would suggest making the background darker.   Posted: 04/06/2026 20:26:49

I think this is an outstanding image. I can understand the work and thought that went into it. The light hitting the bottles is just beautiful. I am with you, the labels would ruin the image and I like that the bottles are not all equal distant from each other. Your crop is perfect and the bottles have very nice colors and are sharp with nice definition. The background could possibly be better if it was a slightly out of focus but all in all I really like it.   Posted: 04/12/2026 12:38:30

Max, this is a great still life image. Your use of complimentary colors with the bottles adds a color harmony to the shot as does the green foliage background. The bottles themselves are simple, yet so interesting with different heights, shapes and looks. I really like how they are all varied and yet all part of a cohesive whole. Very nice work.   Posted: 04/12/2026 18:10:53

This is a wonderful image, Max. It was exposed perfectly, the colors are very vibrant, everything is in focus. The window works very well as a framing element. The work you put into the image really paid off. I love the assortment of shapes, sizes, colors, and textures in the different bottles. The background really adds a great sense of place, together with the weathered look of the window.
Well done!!   Posted: 04/13/2026 16:06:09
