About the Image(s)
In honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (December 7) I did an abstract study based on the blue glass of Hangar 79 at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. The original bullet holes from the 1941 attack remain visible as white points within the geometric reflections.
I used Photoshop to reflect and crop the image and blend modes to bring out the complementary orange color. I like the original image, but I also wanted to explore making an abstract. Which do you prefer?

Since you want impact and definition of your image I think your use of geometric reflections defines your subject. It catches the eye with color and multiple leading lines. Despite the grim past, this image does Hanger 79 proud.   Posted: 12/03/2025 17:32:09

Nice rendition. The altered symmetry and color blend modes are very attractive. Knowing the story of what it is makes it more interesting yet. I think it has interesting lines, colors and textures even without the bullet holes.   Posted: 12/14/2025 16:20:34
