About the Image(s)

This month's image is titled Floral Zoom. I took it on a trip with a photo club to the Huntington Library. We had a really good time. I cranked the ISO down as low as it would go and zoomed the lens while I had the shutter open. I tried to keep the red flower in the center of the frame to keep it sharp while the pink blooms on the edges got the effect of the zoom. I cropped the image to make it a little more visually interesting and not have it dead-center.
I shot this with a Nikon D850, Nikon 24-70 f/2.8 AF-S ED lens. I had the ISO set at 31, exposure was 1/30 sec @ f/22, lens zoomed to 40mm. I played with the image a little in camera raw to bump the contrast and detail and gave it a light vignette around the edges to soften the overall feel to the image.
