About the Image(s)
I found this windmill at a local farm museum which is somewhat close to me. It was easy to get next to the windmill to photograph it. I have seen these in fields all my life, but have never been close enough to really see the workings. It appears this may have generated electricity at one time.
I converted to Monochrome and added a slight Sepia tone. The day was a bit overcast which helped in the final processing. Canon R5 24mm, 17500, f/8, ISO 100.

Hi Bruce,
I like your choice of sepia. The clouds and the windmill conjure up an impending storm. Is there a tornado on the horizon or just a summer rain storm?

Nice angle and Picture overall. The Sepia lends itself to a wonderful array of tones. This is a pleasant and relaxing shot. I like it.   Posted: 11/16/2024 15:06:29

Nice work here, Bruce. I think the genius of this image is in the simplicity. It's clean and understated, but as you wander into the windmill, you see the texture and tones that are very subtle and hold your attention within the frame. I am also a fan of the sepia treatment. You handled the sky perfectly. There's just enough information there to add to the story and create some interest. The only thing I see as a detriment is that there appears to be some haloing around the blades of the windmill, and the sky on the inside of the windmill, about 5:00 to 9:00 is a little hot.
Great execution of a wonderful idea!   Posted: 11/16/2024 20:43:51
