About I: I had seen somewhere a tree that was of;;ed wot exdptoc words/ I tried to find it again but tp o avail, but I got the idea of putting a lot of birds on a tree from many different sources. I didn't have such colorful ones as this person used, but I did my best. Because my eyesight is lousy, I could not be sure if I had failed to be the birds in the right spot on the tree branches, but I still keep tryin. I finished it up with a young bison that was lying down, but thet was probably the worsted insertion. Anyway, I look forward to your critiques.. I had about 10 layers.

What a jolly image. You have some great pictures of so many different birds. I do admit some of them look a bit precarious but they seem to be enjoying each other's company on this very attractive tree. How I chuckled when I first saw this image of your bird laden tree. Those twigs would have to be quite sturdy to support the birds, although we often forget that some species are surprising light. The bison is a useful addition and it would have been fun if its eyes were looking upwards at the birds. Great work. Posted: 08/10/2026 16:15:21
Joan, I like the concept but find the image imbalanced. There is a participant in my other dialogues group who often chants "less is more". I might be more selective in how many birds you place. I'd also pay attention to how each bird contributes to or distracts from the image. As an example, the hawk and eagle both have presence and add to the image. Your choice to add the same bird twice in different sizes, I believe a pigeon, doesn't enhance the image for me. I hope you are open to constructive criticism. Posted: 08/16/2026 18:59:24
Thanks for your comments. I agree that the cedar waxwing, which was in twice was a mistake. I tried to find the layer but for some reason, I couldn't. I wanted to remove the small version of it. My concept was to have lots of different bitsds on the tree to make it seem more unusual, therefore more creative. However, I have decided that my eyesight it too bad to do this type of composite in the future as I really can't
see what I am doing even blowing it up. I'll have to keep to simpler images.

Joan, It must be incredibly frustrating as a photographer to have problems with your eyesight. I admire your commitment and hope you will continue to work on your photography despite some limitations. Posted: 08/18/2026 19:09:07
I love this piece of fantastical nonsense. What an exotic mixture of birds. I think the bison will be surprised in a moment when, as the final bird lands, the tree finally gives up the ghost and comes down on his head. Great fun and imaginative. Posted: 08/17/2026 10:34:08
Joan, I love the concept, I did something similar some time ago and placed birds from my garden on an old and dead gum tree. To me, the birds look like they are sharing a small space and are happy to do so with the Bison. Posted: 08/18/2026 11:15:45
