About the Image(s)

How I Did It: I have entered this in my former creative group, so a few of you may have seen it. It had only one comment, Since it took a lot of work, I thought I would present it again in group 41. I hope no-one minds. I used the model in the original and also one flying duck I found in a nature photo that is tooo difficult to find. The duck was one of hundreds and I cut it out and duplicated it while I placed the ducks end to end. The
hair" was created by using the Liquify filter to bend the row of ducks. I make several layers with different duck hair and placed them on the model after r removing her hair with the clone tool. Because of the hair, I named her Quee of the Ducks..

Joan, I find this image so captivating. The black background and the empty spaces between the ducks creates a very strong visual effect. I find the transition area where her face meets the ducks a little unflattering for the model. I see the challenge in removing the hair and not having enough face to use for the transition. I might also try to tone down the liquify effect on the upper outer hair as it brings attention to the filter and away from the magic of the repetitive forms. Overall an outstanding and unique image, nicely done.   Posted: 07/10/2026 04:55:30

The ducks become a sort of strange, chain mail headpiece on a magical princess warrior who is flying to battle. As she enters the fray her headpiece divides into hundreds of heavily armed killer ducks. See, you got my imagination going. Well constructed.   Posted: 07/10/2026 09:59:43
