About the Image(s)

How UI Sus UrL U riij an obit if tgenideks grin a kibg0tie ago model shoot at the Oakland 16th St. Railroad Station. I made the whole thing B Y W. Then Make it egatibe. I made each side around the subject Black or white, eft Black and right white. Then I cropped up to the neck to remove a hand. I also extended the negative to the whole lips. Maybe I should have also ate the right eye a negative, but that would not be easy. Anyway, it's u contribution for this month.

Wow. No suggestions. It certainly catches your attention. Well done.   Posted: 04/09/2026 14:57:03

very inventive image. I do like the contrast between the two halves. It does need a complete border as a finishing touch.   Posted: 04/09/2026 18:31:17

Very impactful Joan, a clever idea. It would be interesting to see the image with the mouth in its original form on the right and also as an alternative, as you suggest, both the eye and the mouth negative on the right.   Posted: 04/10/2026 19:28:20

Joan, I like what you've done here. It is visually intense. One suggestion, the handling of the inverted right half of the lip has a jagged edge on the lower portion, you might soften that up   Posted: 04/10/2026 21:22:24

Joan a good interpretation of negative and positive of one image. For me, the positive doesn't align with the negative side. You might consider making the right eye a little bit lighter, so that the viewer can see the eye, removing the bright spot under the nose on the right side and the lips don't align, a negative one on the positive side.   Posted: 04/17/2026 11:41:05
