About the Image(s)

This is a similar image of what I created some time ago but in a different setting. Most of the elements were used in various images and so thought of reusing them to create this final image. All was needed to finish was to build the colours in the background.

Another classic Nadia image beautifully constructed. My only comment is the bird seems a touch large in this composition.   Posted: 04/03/2026 18:17:55

Thanks for your feedback Brad, much appreciated. I initially had this eagle a tad smaller and it looked out of proportion to the tree branch it's sitting on. The Australian Wedgetail Eagle is one of the largest birds of prey in the world. It has a wide windspan of up to 9feet or so for females.   Posted: 04/05/2026 10:58:37

Makes sense, keep it as is!   Posted: 04/05/2026 14:39:38

I can see the bird is there, on the tree, to perhaps add atmosphere. But I wonder if it is needed. The birds flying towards us, in a menacing sky, are important, and without the eagle to distract the eye can dwell on the subject of the title - the abandoned car. As usual, your picture has a lovely finish and colour.   Posted: 04/06/2026 09:43:12

Thanks for your feedback Robin, I can see what you're saying and I did initially didn't have the eagle there but it just looked empty and I believe that the eagle add some interest.   Posted: 04/15/2026 11:06:51

Abandoned but overseen by the eagle. Another fine image.   Posted: 04/09/2026 18:42:41

A strong 'wilderness' feel to this well constructed and superbly executed image. I like the eagle where it is almost taking ownership of the car and warning off the other birds in the distance. Great work yet again.   Posted: 04/10/2026 19:43:07

Thanks for your comments Hazel, the eagle being the custodian of the abandoned car is well put.   Posted: 04/15/2026 11:11:22

Nadia, This is quite a good construction of several elements. Although all make sense in the title Abandoned, somehow this combination doesn't quite go together.in my opinion. I think the old truck and the big tree are somehow incompatible. I do like the Bird on the tree to give it a more haunting appearance. Maybe the truck needs to look older than it already does.. Not sure, but I get this feeling of not quire making it as a single image. Sorry about that. The technical work is excellent, in any case.   Posted: 04/16/2026 18:34:41

Thanks for your feedback Joan, I appreciate your interpretation of this image. If you could explain on how the old, dilapidated pick-up truck is incompatible with the tree would help in understanding what is needed for change. Not sure what happens in the US but in Australia we have old and new cars burnt and "dumped" in forests, especially those that have been stolen and parts taken out. They normally are against massive gum trees just like the one in this image. In any case, my style is altered reality, it doesn't have to be compatible with anything.   Posted: 04/17/2026 11:51:51
