About the Image(s)
I spotted this piece of artwork many years ago and found the image whilst cruising through old files.
I cropped to a letterbox format and tidied up some blotches before duplicating the layer and opening Topaz and working through the abstract presets. I settled on Galactic at a reduced opacity of 85%.
Back in Photoshop I tweaked saturation and added the inner glow borders.

Ian, Your technique here certainly enhances the original, I like the lighter halo type effect you've created. I could imagine using this treatment in other settings to create some other compelling images.   Posted: 04/03/2026 18:10:52
I had to check my glasses were clean when looking at this. It has a strange affect on the eyes. It is an interesting effect. I wonder if it would work better on trees or grasses?   Posted: 04/06/2026 09:31:16
Interesting image. I like what you did with it.   Posted: 04/09/2026 14:55:01
The effect of the glowing edges, I think, creates a feeling of movement or at the least, shaking. The orange colour makes the shapes stand out well and adds to the energy of the image. A successful improvement to the original.   Posted: 04/10/2026 19:22:33
I'm glad you found the older file. It was a great start for a creative image. The cropping and the introduction of an inner glow, works really well. I have no suggestions to make it better. Good job.   Posted: 04/16/2026 18:00:57
Quite an interesting image Ian. What I particularly like is the contrast of the orange background against the artwork, it does makes it stand out.   Posted: 04/17/2026 11:32:59
