About the Image(s)
This image comes from two separate backpacking trips. I wanted to capture the peaceful feeling at night by the campfire and while viewing the stars. I used a variety of layer masks to match the images and create a somewhat believable image, although some of the elements were not easy to combine.

Brad - The original images are beautiful. But the combination of the 2 is really stunning - so peaceful. Makes the viewer want to be there. I am especially inpressed with how you blended the earth from forest to sandy beach. Just removing the large rock looks very difficult. If I did not know this was originally 2 pix, I could never have told from this finished product. (Oh, your sky capture is terrific!) Posted: 03/05/2025 12:10:27

Nice one. Good job blending the images together. Makes a nice story. I think that the reflections on the legs of the chair are very distracting, and really don't make sense given the fire as the light source. I'd just take them down quite a bit. Posted: 03/06/2025 09:24:54

Nice story here Brad, relaxing by a fire and taking in the splendour of the stars. In my opinion, I would have preferred if you kept part of the sandy beach on the right side and blended the grass next to it instead of blending it into the sea. If the waves were coming in then the grass and sea would not look so odd. Posted: 03/08/2025 04:00:32
