About the Image(s)
I started with a shot of a curved pencils taken in a black box. I added the No 2 in photoshop and merged together a mirror image. I then had taken some smoke and fire shots which I merged into the final image.

Tom, You've created an incredibly strong visual image with many strengths. The lighting, color choices, shapes and flowing smoke in the flame and background are visually striking. I have no suggestions to enhance this image, nicely done.   Posted: 03/05/2025 11:44:39
Thanks Brad.   Posted: 03/06/2025 09:29:51
Tom - I never would have guessed there was a mirror image here. It looks like it was placed that way. Combining the match tip was genius. But what I like most was all the smoke you created, both in the background and from the flame. This makes me want to try something with smoke. Thank you.   Posted: 03/05/2025 12:35:20

Tom, a great composition and agree with the others' comments. Somehow, I think that would like an image you standing on the single pencil in the foreground looking up at the flame. By the way, what's the significance of the No2?   Posted: 03/08/2025 04:23:16
Hi Nadia,
The No 2 was on all the pencils in Grade School which stands for No. 2 lead hardness scale, and I think it's still on most pencils, but on this one particular brand it was at the bottom of the pencil so I moved it up.   Posted: 03/08/2025 08:53:06
