About the Image(s)
Scorched land. Idea for this image came from the notion that barren land represents no
vegetation/feed for wildlife. The bonsai represents man growing feed for endangered life. The
giraffes were captured at the local zoo and the bonsai captured at a local garden centre. The
landscape is from a farm close by, the sky is a blend of three sky images and the ground has been
built up with images of dry, cracked earth.

Nadia, You are to be complemented on producing such a technically competent piece of work. I am particularly drawn to the way you have blended the giraffes seamlessly into the bonsai. I also like the way that the skeletal trees are silhouetted against the sky.   Posted: 02/06/2025 11:08:50
Hi Nadia. Fabulous idea. The fact that the sky is a sunset with those lovely warm colours and bare trees sets the scene for the 'scorched earth' feeling. I agree with Brian that you have very skilfully blended the giraffes into the bonsai. How clever you are!   Posted: 02/08/2025 20:45:00
Nadia, Another striking image with a beautiful handling of both the lighting proportion and story. I have nothing to add except my appreciation of your artistry.   Posted: 02/15/2025 02:25:38
Oh my goodness Nadia. This is wonderful. What a nice complex creation. The balance is so good here - all the giraffes and greenery is on the left, but completely facing into the wasteland. The fresh white shades you used on the animals contradicts the parched land and trees. And the unrest from the landscape is echoed by your treatment of the sky, but is given relief by the serenity of the animal scene. I wish I could claim this one - It is really good!   Posted: 02/19/2025 22:27:12
