About the Image(s)
I've been trying to find a use for this spectacular image from Mount Ritter in the Eastern Sierra that I took during the pandemic. In the end I still feel the image by itself is best but figured I'd play with it some more. I added a silhouetted image of myself and then played a little with the Milky Way adding a lens flare to link me to the image.

Brad, I quite like the idea behind your image and the way that you have enhanced the image to make it more creative. The addition of the silhouette and the milky way makes it much more interesting. However, I find the brighter areas in the lower quarter a bit distracting and I would be inclined to crop them out and make the image more of a letter-box; see below.   Posted: 02/05/2025 10:58:36
Hi Brad, you've done an excellent job in bringing the elements together. I particularly like how you've have your hand reached out as if you're touching a flare/orb of some kind as if you're reaching out to the stars. My suggestion would be that if you had that light source so close to you, it would reflect on your face, upper part of your body and on your arm and hand. Probably create some rim light around those areas as well. Otherwise nicely done.

First - getting the night sky shot is to be celebrated - I wish I couldd do just that part. But I think the idea os including your silhouette in the photo makes it really personal and a bit mystical. I think this one is very good. I might either enhance the light a bit on the foreground, OR crop that part out.   Posted: 02/19/2025 22:02:19
