About the Image(s)
After last months image, photographed at the same location and night as this one, I realized after trying to do to much with the image I removed all the "subjects" and am pleased with the simplicity of this image. Sometimes adding people and birds etc distracts from the inherent beauty of the scene. One could argue all the photoshop manipulations ultimately distract from the Beauty of nature

Brad - this is a yummy shot - draws me right in there. I must say, cutting the Original 2 sky out looks like a time-consuming job to get it this clean. The sky is just perfect for the lighting below. Only one thing makes me wonder, the sun appears to be going down on the left, but the reflection in the water is dead-center. I doesn't look like there is enough in your sky image to rectify this.   Posted: 12/11/2024 17:18:21

Hi Brad, a very pleasant scene, I especially like the night sky with the shooting stars. You might consider blending the two images so that the colours are in alignment. You might place a copy of the night sky over the ocean and use linear light blend mode at 40% opacity to blend the night scene.   Posted: 12/12/2024 10:40:16

Brad, I echo the views of the others that the strength of this image is its simplicity and emptiness which accords well with the notion that 'Less is More'. It is an image of two halves; the shooting stars in the upper part and the mountains/reflections in the lower half. This is created by the central positioning of the horizon which causes the viewer to visually flit between the two halves. My preference is for the lower half as there is some wonderful texture and detail in the reflections. I agree with Nadia that blending the lighting in the two originals proved troublesome.   Posted: 12/13/2024 12:48:06

Hi Brad,
You seem to have taken on a difficult task which has largely succeeded. A calm and interesting landscape with sweeping lines of stars to brighten up a very plain sky is a good choice of images to go together. If you can manage to blend some of the sunset from Original 2 into the final image as Nadia suggests that should do the trick with the lighting.   Posted: 12/13/2024 20:38:24

Hi Brad,
Very interesting image. I agree with Nadia on maybe using the color blend mode to get more of the sunset into the final image.   Posted: 12/19/2024 00:07:09

Thank you all for the suggestion to address the color blend at the horizon. I will look into it.   Posted: 12/19/2024 22:43:13
