About the Image(s)
The Scene was at the top of Pikes Peak during the PSA conference. It was horribly blue. The man was going to be a silhouette. Somehow, I fixed the scenic and added the man - it was hard to cut him out of his original sky. But the composite turned out OK. Shot f/11, 1/640th, ISO 200 with my Olympus 4/3 mirrorless. THe finished product is titled "Top of the World".

I like this composite. If you entered into a competition, the judge would not know it was a composite. I just had this conversation with a member of our camera club. Well done!   Posted: 11/03/2024 21:36:12

Melissa, I like the structure of this image with the photographer bottom left looking into the image and into the landscape. This creates a good left-to-right visual flow in the picture which we all strive for. On balance, I feel as though I wanted to see the photographer's feet standing on the rocks; perhaps there was a good reason why you opted not to include his feet. I found the sky at the top of the frame a little lacklustre and believe that the image would benefit from its removal. This would enhance the letterbox feeling to the image; see below.   Posted: 11/07/2024 22:21:44

Melissa, You've successfully achieved your goal of realistically placing a subject in this beautiful landscape.   Posted: 11/15/2024 05:35:07

I agree with Brad that the subject seems very realistic.
