About the Image(s)
This is an image of street art in Bedford UK called, I think, "Reflections of Bedford". Shot with a Olympus 16-50mm (FFE) lens. I waited until someone was walking in between the faces. I straightened the verticals & horizontals, cropped off the road in front and a bit at the sides; darkened the highlights, lightened the shadows and added a bit of dehaze and texture. What do you think?

Hi Andrew, what a great art installation! It is always difficult when we photograph someone else's art work. The success is truly in the eye of the judge at the time. I'm glad you waited to have someone walking between the two "people". Consider doing something to the blue lady in the bottom right. She drags the eye as she is not in the colour pallet that the rest of the image seems to have.   Posted: 07/01/2026 09:38:24
Well framed Andrew. I like how the trees are situated to appear as if they are hair for the two heads. I think the people in the center give it scale as well. My abstract alter ego wants to take all of the detail out of the center and just focus on the two faces.   Posted: 07/02/2026 14:31:55
Hi Andrew, this is very interesting! And kind of funny. It's cropped well, the building is nice and straight, and you did a good job of showing scale. However, when photographing someone else's art, I think it's important for the photographer to do something creative with it to make it their own - for example having someone interact with the sculptures. Maybe someone could stand in the middle and make an angry face or gaze up in confusion at the them. I think you started to do that by including the woman in the middle.   Posted: 07/02/2026 16:56:17

Hi Andrew, this one attracted my attention. Good to see your work again. The nearest I have been to Bedford is when learning to drive in the 60's in a Bedford van! Who could resist taking a shot of this wonderful sculpture. The moment has been well caught and the lady helps us appreciate the size of the two faces.   Posted: 07/10/2026 19:32:46
Hey Andrew. Cool image. I agree with Janice about the trees looking like hair. I find the center of the image sort of cluttered. I took the people out and I think (in my opinion) the statues looked more the point of focus. As always, everything else looked good.   Posted: 07/13/2026 19:32:49
