About the Image(s)

Can you guess where this was taken? I was looking up at the top of the glass pyramid of the Louvre in Paris! I increased contrast and adjusted the sky for texture and exposure. I plan on submitting this photo to my camera club's monthly competition - geometric design theme. I tried it in B&W but I think it's too plain and simple that way, and that the blue sky adds interest. Is this an interesting photo or should I submit something else? Taken at 1/500 sec, f8, ISO 100, 24mm.

Well Janice, this is one view of The Louvre that I have never seen before. Colour is the way to go as the sky adds to the story. Perhaps try playing with the highlight, contrast and the texture sliders to see if you can get a bit more detail in the sky. I do like the "movement" that you have captured in the skylight.   Posted: 04/03/2026 10:06:32

Really nice shot, a good treatment and capture idea. I agree with Julie and don't have any other improvements   Posted: 04/04/2026 15:53:28

Love the pattern in this - the blue and the clouds in the sky come through without losing the detail and clarity of the grid. I've never been to the Louvre, but I will definitely remember to look up if/when I get there!   Posted: 04/06/2026 18:23:44
