About the Image(s)
In 1930 the Ford Motor Company opened an assembly plant on the waterfront in Richmond California. The plant produced trucks until 1953. In 1986, the Park Service purchased the building with plans to restore it. The Loma Prieta Earthquake in 1989 caused too much damage for the restoration to be completed. Today the building which sits on 30 acres is used mainly for indoor Pickle Ball courts and a few small shops. The building has glass windows and doors that are about three stories tall.
I photographed these doors with my Nikon with a 30mm lens at f-11 at 1/125sec shutter speed at ISO 100. The time of day was around 9 a.m.
I tried the image in black and white and my cats liked the color version better. I liked the contrast of different colors. Editing was done in Adobe Camera Raw, and in photoshop I used a Photo Look Up Table (LUT) that gave the feel of Fuji film Reala Film.
