Hey Catherine, Good eye. My wife says this is the kinds of things I shoot on vacation (instead of the kids). She brings her phone. I like the abstractness from real life items. I think it is your true style. I could not resist putting it in Nik Color Efix Pro and playing with the colors and textures. This would make a good 4 ft by 8 ft mural in the lobby of a business office for an outdoor company like REI. Nice job.   Posted: 07/06/2025 22:54:12
Thank you Don. I might have Nik Color Efix and should play more.   Posted: 07/17/2025 11:57:39
Hi Catherine, great job at capturing this image from a moving boat! Wow! Well done! The lines are straight, buoys are nice and colorful. I recommend cropping up just a tiny, tiny fraction of a mm so that it doesn't look like the bottom is cut off and to hide the small patch of background at the top right.   Posted: 07/10/2025 17:04:02
Thank you Janice! I found it challenging to crop to make uneven lines look more even. Good suggestion.   Posted: 07/17/2025 11:58:53
Hi Catherine, This is a great shot. I could see it on the doctor's waiting room wall. I do like the colour graduations down the page. Perhaps the only thing I would try is to take out the highlights from the top row and hope that it darkened a little bit. That row is bright and takes the eye, whereas the eye goes exploring on the other levels.   Posted: 07/17/2025 03:50:48
Thank you Julie for the touch up ideas.   Posted: 07/17/2025 11:59:25
Catherine, you continue to always have an eye for the unusual. I like the repetition of red floats scattered through the pots. And I like the pots themselves. Great work!   Posted: 07/24/2025 01:40:07
I would be tempted to enhance the vibrancy of pink floats.   Posted: 07/25/2025 14:54:44
