It is time to revisit a very old Prison in California that is being slowly restored. It Looks like an old Castle, and when I was given a private tour, the power had been cut for electrical work. Luckily, there was a lot of light coming in through the windows. I really like the color version of this, but the Black and White seemed to have lots of textures. On Halloween the Prison is opened as a haunted house and I will tell you, being in this building in the dark was very creepy.
ISO 400 with a 15mm lens, shot at F/5 at 1.3 Sec. Post processing was made with Photoshop and Silver Efex Pro.

Hi Don, I think your mono version is great. We are forced to look around more to gather the information. The only thing I could say is that the big black shadow in the bottom right takes my attention. The shadow on the right acts as a leading line to take me along the corridor. I can imagine that this would be very spooky in the dark. Posted: 04/14/2025 23:07:09
Nice work straightening this up. I think it's better in monochrome. The shadows in the foreground look menacing. The stopcock on the top LHS really makes the edge stand out. Interesting exercise, worth going back for more if you can get permission. Posted: 04/20/2025 12:20:52
