About the Image(s)

This sunset was taken at Spurn Point on the East Coast of England a few years ago. I brightened it up a bit and lightened the shadow areas. I am not sure about the crop, what do you think?

Hey Andrew, I liked your shot. I made it more a pano and did some sharpening and texture. Your stuff is always spot-on. Just my crazy texture fetish.   Posted: 02/19/2025 06:08:18

Andrew, I like the mystic feeling of this image, the sunset sky, the wharf, the ship and the lone seabird in the sky. I would be tempted to crop in a little on the bottom.

I like Don's pano as a good alternative but he lost the seabird which I think is an integral part of your image.   Posted: 02/19/2025 16:21:46

Andrew,
I like the layers of colors in this shot, especially it has a sliver of blue in it.
I suppose you can cut a bit on both sides of the photo, but it loses the feeling of expanse. I prefer the way it is.   Posted: 02/20/2025 15:49:05

Hi Andrew. Love the subject - I see scenes like this here on the Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay. I love the big sky, leading line silhouette and you can see the ship. You can always play with the sunset, but I really like it the way it is. The only thing would be the pylon intersects with the one boat. Can't change that if is moored, but it it was moving, it could be seperated.   Posted: 02/20/2025 17:09:50
