About the Image(s)
Several years ago I was in France and had the opportunity to visit famed impressionist artist Claude Monet's home, gardens, and pond. I took a number of images of which this is one of them. On a tripod I took this image of reflections in the pond. In camera raw I played with the sliders leaving the reflections in the pond quite soft as Monet would do but having the small portion of the shore sharp.
How would you do it?
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark III on tripod, 70-300 f4 L IS USM LENS, 170mm focal length, f27 1/6 iso 100.

I find this confusing and feel it would have worked better with a wider lens to show the context of the reflection.   Posted: 12/14/2024 15:58:01

Hi Henry, I can see how this is related to Monet with the weeping willow and lily pads and soft reflections in the water. However, I think I agree with Andrew. The bright red is drawing my attention, and I don't know what it is. I'd like to see more of the willow tree and lily pads. The tree trunk doesn't seem to fit with the colors and texture of the rest of the image.   Posted: 12/21/2024 05:05:31
