About the Image(s)
Hello group 40 Happy December.
This is my last chance this year to learn something from the group. I am going to The Galapagos Islands next month for three weeks. This is the chance of a lifetime for a photographer. As a sort of warm up, I went to the Channel Islands National Park for a day with a group of 15 PSA members (mostly bird photographers). We walked all day and like other times when I shoot all day, I have nothing to show for it. I can either figure this out, or just take my phone and shoot with it (no offense if you are a iPhone photographer). My original was taken around 230 in the afternoon, and I was with a group, so that was when we got there. It was hazy, and overcast. I opened the image in Adobe Camera Raw and did all my adjustments and applied a gradient mask to the sky. I did not add any sky, just found it. I opened it in Silver efex pro and then added a filter to emulate film. I then added a vignette and ran it through a DeNoise filter. I know this is a little ambitious, but maybe someone can start from the beginning and tell me what you might have done. Thank you in advance. ISO 160 f/11 at 1/125s shutter speed.

There is no right or wrong way to process. My workflow was:
in LR Straighten Horizon, in PS clone out the rope and stake and the black lumps in foreground. Back in LR RB > Auto, Dehaze +25, Sharpening +50, Radius 1.0, Detail 25, Noise Reduction 50, Highlights -80, Shadows +53, Crop off most of the bottom, Sharpen again in Topaz AI (might ignore this step in retrospect) OOF very noisy, Remove Blur 82, Suppress Noise 66. Back in LR clone out 2 dust spots. I don't think this is better than yours just different.   Posted: 12/14/2024 15:49:26
