I know I have been taking a lot of pictures of buildings and bridges lately, but as an homage to our leader Andrew, I went back to my roots this month and did a little street photography. My wife and I went to what we thought was going to be an antique faire, about 85 miles from our home, when we realized it was a giant Flea Market. We said, “What the Heck”, and decided to look around. I noticed a giant tent-like structure that was selling clothes and I saw what I thought was a row of ladies looking at sports jerseys. I realized it was the most original way to model jeans that I have ever seen. I could not resist. The image was washed out by the mid-day sun, so I had to do some burning. I also cleaned it up a little and did some sharpening and deNoise.
The image was made with my iphone, which is probably the best street camera you can use today. I don’t know if the settings would make much sense. It probably looks crooked, but I was not standing in front of the table. There were hundreds of people at the market and I had to shoot on the fly. From a Street Photography angle, what do you think.

Don,
I think this is a fabulous street photo..it got me laughing. I thought the lady in red shirt is real; but probably not. The only thing I am tempted to do is to crop out the tent poles on both sides. I love the colors and the display; ingenious!   Posted: 11/09/2024 21:40:27

Hi Don, this is a fabulous photo! It fooled me right away and then I wasn't sure about the one with the red top, either. Hahaha! I agree with removing the tent poles. I also recommend darkening the sidewalk so it doesn't draw attention away from the main subject. Well seen and well done! I've seen pictures of bar stools that have a similar design. Hilarious! I like your title, too!   Posted: 11/17/2024 18:48:38

So well seen! Love all the shades of blue - how could you choose, you just keep looking. I might crop the right even a little more to remove the odd clothing. It is cropped on the left cutting off some of the mannequin so you could match it on the right.   Posted: 11/19/2024 17:37:43

Great shot, made me smile. You could maybe leave the poles in but straighten them.   Posted: 11/24/2024 10:34:07

Well Don, when I realized these were manikins, I laughed and laughed.Your post processing is right on. As to street photography, I think this is a perfect 10 or perhaps should I say 8 in this case.   Posted: 11/25/2024 02:35:39
