About the Image(s)

This photo, taken with a mobile phone at the center of Sun Moon Lake, uses the vanishing point in the center of the image as a mirror axis. The left and right walls, the arched ceiling, and the protruding black geometric light fixtures on the walls are perfectly symmetrical. The grout lines of the black bricks on the ground also converge towards the center, creating a strong one-point perspective that draws the eye directly to the light source at the end of the corridor. It is a backlit composition, with bright skylight in the depths of the corridor, turning the two pedestrians into black silhouettes. The scale of the figures is used to accentuate the grandeur of the architecture.
