About the Image(s)

This was taken at Venardos Circus, one of the many circuses (sans animals) that often set up their tents in mall parking lots This one was very small and the performers at times were too close for those of us who paid front row seat--we should have gone in the bleachers. Lighting was tough because this operation did not have the lights that would keep all of a performer in the light so heads and feet were often in dark. The main plan was having a high enough ISO to be able to capture action. This was my first outing with a. new camera and it has far higher ISOs available than previous models and seemed to do a better job at 12,800 than other cameras I have had. Still, after a fairly small crop--aimed more at capturing the diagonal line of her body than of cropping down-- in Lightroom, the main task was using Topaz AI for sharpening and denoising and I used the Super Focus tool set on the "minor" tab. I used an adjustment layer in PhotoShop to darken the background and cloned out some wires that probably support things but were distracting for a picture of this act.
