April 2026 - Cherry Blossoms at Olympia Capitol

This photo was taken last weekend at the Washington State Capitol in Olympia, when the cherry blossoms were in full bloom. It's a composite of two photos: one focusing on the Capitol building and the other on the cherry blossoms. I stitched the two photos together to ensure both the cherry blossoms and the State Capitol are in focus. The camera settings are Nikon D8, Sony 16-35mm with ETZ21 adaptor, 1/200 sec, 35mm, f/8, ISO 200.

I love the framing and colors. I might want to pop the blue in the sky a hair by increasing saturation. Other than that it's nice and sharp and a good view. A really good job Posted: 04/14/2026 03:35:02
