November 2024 - Reflection of a man

About the Image(s)

Enclosed is my photo entry for the month of November. While I was traveling I had the opportunity to take a side trip that I could not pass up and did not get back to the states until the middle of October.

While visiting Rome, the Trevi Fountain was on my list to see. When I arrived, the amount of people already there was overwhelming. With heads bobbing in front of me, to get a decent picture seemed virtually impossible. At one point I turned away from the fountain to take a couple of deep breaths to lower my frustration. When I opened my eyes, I saw the Trevi Fountain (at least part of it) reflecting in a storefront window. Before anyone walked in front of the window I quickly snapped the photo.

Name: Reflection of Man
Camera: Nikon D500
Nikon Lens: 28mm - 300mm

Camera Settings: 1/8000 sec at f/5.0 ISO 3200
32mm

I did very little post processing in Lightroom

Very creative Ricarda. It's a shame you could not have gotten more of the fountain in your capture. I know the frustration of making images in busy tourist spots. I had the same problem during my cruise to the mediterranean. If you have Photoshop, there is a new tool in the beta version under remove that allows you to automatically remove people. It does a good job.   Posted: 11/27/2024 17:09:08

Thanks Howard for your suggestion. I will try that tool on some of my other photos.   Posted: 11/29/2024 17:47:25
