As an old (make that quite old) historian I am fascinated by old building and architecture. My interest is drawn to the wooden (?) balconies on the left and the clock tower seen through the arch. I know you are really drawn to the movement as created by the vehicle lights and they certainly make a strong leading line to draw the viewer toward the tower, but for me they detract from the tower itself and the neon colors bring the setting into the modern world. As a work of photographic art it is unique and impactful, but at the cost of displaying the old world.
You also might look at straightening side sides of the archway as they do not look straight.   Posted: 07/04/2025 20:30:02

A colorful image. I like the placement of the clock tower in the archway and the sharpness of the relevant parts of the scene. The brightness of the turquoise vehicle and the sharp man in the white short distract my eye from the subject. All other subjects are moving so I would consider removing him. I think leading vehicle lights would pull the eye into the scene but would work better if more subtle and not end with a bright vehicle. While the top of the arches are level, I agree with Larry that the verticals need to be corrected. I don't think the part of the image left of the little stand add to the story of the image so would consider cropping that out.   Posted: 07/05/2025 00:08:11
Hi Adi. I really like the old world/new world contrast in this image. For me, it tells a story of evolution. The slow-motion car naturally leads my eye to the clock tower, which is nicely framed by the arches. The car lights are a bit bright but they work fine with the scene. The vivid color suits the location and the street photography style. My only suggestion would be to straighten the image - quick fix can be done in LR using the transform panel.   Posted: 07/12/2025 15:23:12
Hi Adi - You tell a compelling story here - the dramatic clash of ancient and modern worlds by contrasting the strong, beautiful ancient architecture with the hustle-bustle, bright and fast-moving modern culture. Even the wires hanging against the old architecture and the old-looking street vendor's cart that sports contemporary, brightly lit offerings, clash with the architectural history of this place. Brave you - to set your tripod in the middle of this busy street! I agree that the image would benefit from straightening the verticals, but think you've captured a poignant commentary of modern life in this ancient city of Jodhpur.   Posted: 07/22/2025 18:37:20
