About the Image(s)

The area where I live is known as The Hawkesbury and is in Sydney's north west, about 60 klms or 40 miles from the center of Sydney. It was developed not long after settlement was begun in Australia, as it is good farming land. Back in our colonial days, John Tebbutt was a pioneer in our astronomy field and built his observatory in Windsor, which is only about five minutes drive from my home. His face and observatory featured on our first Australian $100 note. This month's image from me is of his observatory. Details are: Nikon D200; Nikon 24-120 lens @ 24mm; ISO 100; F11; 1/60 and hand held. Processed in LR, PS with sharpening and denoise in Topaz Photo.
