About the Image(s)

This was taken last week in Greenwich CT with my Nikon ZII-7 converted camera and NIKKOR Z 75-75mm f/2.8, ISO 100, 1/1000 sec, f/8. I did some minor adjustments in LR, then brought it into PS for an action to develop the blues.

This is a superb image Debbie and I love the treatment you have applied. One of my favourite forms of images are panoramas. I hope you don't mind but I had a play with this one and converted it to a 2x1 format. I did nothing else. What are your thoughts please?   Posted: 07/11/2026 23:08:12

Thank you, Ian for creating the panorama. It does look nicer as a pano.   Posted: 07/13/2026 17:46:59

Debbie, my favorite color is blue, and i think that is an excellent choice. Ian, how did you change her shot into a panorama? Did you transform it or use AI? I like it too.

Thank you, Lauren. I agree-it looks better as a pano.   Posted: 07/13/2026 17:47:40

No AI was used, abused, harmed or injured in converting Debbie's image into a pano. It was simply put into PS and had the ratio changed to 2x1, then move the horizon to where it's thought appropriate, leaving enough space at the top so as to not crowd the top of the trees in the top left area. Also watching the bottom right corner to try and keep the lines coming in from there. In this case the numbers were 10x5. Another favourite format is 16x7, which comes from the old medium format film days. But that works well with some images and not so well with others. One must also ask "If something is removed from the top and bottom of the image, will it be weakened in any way?"   Posted: 07/13/2026 23:47:57
