About the Image(s)
This month's picture is (again) from the historical sea fortress Suomenlinna on Länsi-Mustasaari island late February this year. A lot of tourists visit the islands nowadays, so it's very hard to get a nice ladscape photo without any of them. Fortunately this island is away from the mainsteam of the visitors, and I enjoy walking there then and then. The best time for a landscape photographer elsewhere was during the pandemia, when the other islands were empy of foreign, especially Chinese tourists. Even if Suomenlinna is a wordl heritage site there is no entry ticket fees. The ferry is part of the public transportation system of Helsinki. As you may see there are a lot of tracks and paths, also made by the local inhabitants (about 500) and their dogs...
