About the Image(s)
This is an abandoned farmstead in Eastern Washington. Taken with my infrared Olympus camera, on a 12-100 lens (24-200). Processed in Lightroom and in Adobe Raw profiles for monochrome. ISO 200, 80 mm, 1/250 sec. I was experimenting with the profiles. Does anyone have an opinion on the difference between them and Silver Efex Pro? I have used both.

Interesting farmhouse. So very large-must have housed a large family. Love the caved in roof-so many textures. Would love to have seen this on a diagonal with a bit more room on the right side. I've used both profiles and find I have to tweak both at times. I wonder what they grew, and why they abandoned it. Posted: 04/09/2025 00:29:25
Well seen and well done Lauren. This image has much to see and find. It's one of those images where you can find more images in the small details such as just the left section of the farmhouse and the tree. I use Silver Efex when I want to convert a "normal" colour image to B&W, other than that, profiles are something I have not dabbled with much. Posted: 04/20/2025 23:33:28
