About the Image(s)

This image was taken at a small rural community known as Pitt Town, which is about a 10 or 15-minute drive from my home. The shed sits on the side of the road and is a reminder of an old family business which is no more. Details are: Nikon D200; 21mm lens; ISO 100; Aperture Priority; F16; 1/25 and handheld. Processed in PS.

it is sad how small businesses have disappeared. I think the shed could be lightened in the dark areas facing the viewer and the other corner. Not much to interest me, but you have the memories.   Posted: 02/07/2025 01:06:05

This is a nice IR photo. The shadow of the building is perhaps too large and dark. I would like to have more trees in the picture and less of the house.   Posted: 02/07/2025 08:07:13

This shot has great potential. I would crop the left side to where the shadows begin, lighten the shadows and allow the textures to come in. I would focus on the gate, as I wonder what is behind it. I think it tells a story that I would like to hear.

The barn and tree make for a pleasant scene. What doesn't work is the black wall without any detail. My suggestion is to see if there is detail and if so show it. Also the end of the barn could also be lightened.   Posted: 02/13/2025 20:16:03
